Visiting Teaching Valentine's Cards // Free Printable

Although, I LOVE every word of February's Visiting Teaching message, I couldn't let this month slip by without giving my VT ladies a Valentine. I made these for our Relief Society activity this month, which is a LOVE THE SISTERS night. We will be delivering cookies to those in need of comfort, love and company. I think it is safe to say, ALL of us gals are in need of that ;)

My son told me the jar looked like a Nephite  . . .well, I guess that goes with the theme??? 

There are 6 tags per page and I recommend printing it on matte or semi-gloss white card stock for best results!

I hope you will still read the message and share it with your sisters this month. I KNOW that we as sisters are vital to establishing friendships and making newly converted or newly activated sisters feel AT HOME in the church.

January Visiting Teaching Message {Free Printable}

I am passionate about missionary work and love any opportunity I get to share my beliefs and what brings me the greatest joy and peace in the world . . . the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am FAR from comfortable with saying the right thing at the right time but believe our example and lifestyle is one of the best examples. 

I have missed a few months, but hopefully am back in the swing of things with posting month visiting teaching printables.

I love how it says that not only does "the Lord ENTRUST a testimony of truth" to us but expects the members to "declare His gospel with the sound of rejoicing" at ALL times.

August Visiting Teaching Message {free calling card}

I decided to do something a little different with this month's visiting teaching printable. I am sure I am not the only one who is noticing a theme with the message's this year . . . the importance of visiting teaching!!! I loved the whole article this month and couldn't pick out my favorite so I think it's time to have a "calling card" to give our sisters. 

I love how it states, "If I have problems, I know my visiting teachers will help without waiting to be asked." I know giving out your number means they have to call and ask, but it's a wonderful feeling to know that there is someone there for you when you need it. . . especially when you don't live by family! 

We have been talking about the importance of visiting those we have been called to serve because, like the message says, the Bishop can't possibly visit everyone and know their needs. That is our job and "we can have 'great reason . . . to rejoice' because of 'the blessing which hath been bestowed upon us, that we have been made instruments in his hands of God to bring about this great work' (Alma 26:1, 3)"

July Visiting Teaching Message {free printable}

I love this month's visiting teaching message about "Demonstrating our Discipleship through Love and Service." What better way to show those we visit we love and care about them than by serving them? Christ was the ultimate example in giving his life to service and we can be like him as stated in John 13:25, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another”

The message gives seven examples that if we follow, we can be like Christ in ministering and showing our love to those sisters we visit.

June Visiting Teaching Message {free printable}

How is it June already??? I always think I can put off my visiting teaching and before I know it, the month is over. Sooooo, don't be like me and visit your lovely sisters before the last day of the month. This message is great for me as I tend to worry and feel bad about the "numbers" more than the visiting and serving. I don't always feel like I am doing any good visiting my sisters when my children are running around crazy, but I do know that we are asked to visit teach for a special reason. I also truly believe that who we visit isn't picked at random but prayerfully thought out. I am grateful for the chance to get to know my sisters better and for their example. I ALWAYS leave my sisters homes feeling like I can be a little bit better and a little bit stronger.

May Visiting Teaching Message - General Conference Quotes {free 8x10 printable}

My attempts to have the visiting teaching messages done by the first day of the month are futile. . . especially when there were so many AMAZING talks at General Conference. Which is why I decided to make an 8x10 print with most of my favorite quotes, still couldn't fit all of them. I confess that I still haven't heard or read all the talks but I have truly benefited from what I have heard. I just found out my phone will read the talks to me. . . (I know, most of you already knew that) which is great while I am folding laundry, making dinner, working on orders, etc., etc., etc. I will gladly take any little bit of spiritual advice or uplifting messages I can get!

I just love this month's checklist of how we can LOVE, WATCH OVER and STRENGTHEN the sisters we visit teach. While I try to listen to the needs of my sisters, I find myself worrying about my boys not destroying anything, yelling or having a breakdown (which is why I REALLY need to go when their dad is home to watch them).  However, I KNOW if we focus on the goals listed below, we will be successful in our efforts to bless the lives of the sisters we visit teach and "our sisters can say: (1) my visiting teacher helps me grow spiritually; (2) I know my visiting teacher cares deeply about me and my family; and (3) if I have problems, I know my visiting teacher will take action without waiting to be asked.

March Visiting Teaching Message {free printable}

Are the months flying by to anybody else??? How is it already March?? Time needs to slow down so my baby STOPS growing so fast.

I so love the lesson taught here, that we are LITERALLY daughters of God. . . meaning we have been blessed with spiritual gifts to help build the kingdom of God here on earth. There is no doubt that woman have a great sense of compassion and sense when others are in need, and I love that through Relief Society we are able to help those sisters around us. I know I have been the fortunate recipient of many sisters help in my ward who have listened to the spirit in knowing that I needed a little boost:)

This was my sad, sad attempt at making sugar cookies for the ladies I visit teach. I told my husband that I think there is something wrong with our oven because I have over-cooked or under-cooked just about everything lately . . . his response, "I guess there has been something wrong with our past 5 ovens than."

His not so subtle way of saying, "You are a terrible cook."

I am going to blame it on the little green guys who are already started to cause mischief around here:)

February Visiting Teaching Message - {Free Printable}

The importance of this month's visiting teaching message is very real to me. I gave birth to my third son this week and while caring for that little angel, I know of the importance of a woman's work here on Earth. Even if we do not have children of our own, we still belong to a family, an eternal family, that we can nurture and bring unto Christ.

January Visiting Teaching Message {Free Printable}

Happy New Year!! I always love the feeling of starting off the year with a clean slate. I used to love making a long list of goals in different categories: physical, spiritual, emotional, etc. Then I realized that I never keep any of them and don't feel like I accomplished anything at the end of the year. So now I just narrow it down to 3 a year. . . if that. It seems to work for me and I focus more on just those goals. In a month I  am will be a mother to three boys three and under so my goals for the new year are:

1- STAY CALM

2- Read the Book of Mormon with my family EVERY DAY

3- Let it go, move on

I feel like if I share my goals, I am more likely to keep them. So here is to not losing my mind and having a spirit of peace in my home.

October Visiting Teaching Message {Free Printable}

 As usual, I had a hard time paraphrasing this month's vistiing teaching message. Anything about Stripling Warriors, mothers, challenging Times, and not fearing always gets to me. Even when I wasn't a mother, I still felt like those Stripling Warriors held a special place in my heart, and now I know why. . . I have (soon to be) 3 of them that Heavenly Father has entrusted me with (still not sure why).
I love how Julie B. Beck says, "Latter-day Saint women who recognize that their strength comes from the Lord's Atonement do not give up during difficult and discouraging times. As covenant keepers, we excel at upholding, nurturing and protecting children and youth so that one day we might say of this rising generation, "Never had I seen so great courage, nay, not amongst all" (Alma 56:45)."
