CLICK HERE TO SEE THE UPDATED ROOM!!!!!
After finding out we were pregnant with our 3rd child and knowing that meant the boys would soon have to share a room, I saw this quote,
Sometimes being a BROTHER
is better than being a SUPERHERO
and there was no going back, I had to do a superhero room for my boys. That was the first thing I made for the room, their own print.
Here is Bodie's room BEFORE:
I found this AMAZING tutorial on how to make your pictures look like they are in a comic book. Had so much fun taking their pictures and turning them into this.
You can download the templates I used to make these superhero bins HERE.
This has probably been one of the most rewarding projects I have ever done because of how my son has reacted to it all. Worth. Every. Minute. Of. It. He spends most of his time playing in there pretending to be a Superhero and saving the world. Now all that is left to do is bite the bullet and move his little brother out of the crib/nursery and into the bottom bunk. . . before baby comes in less than 3 months!

Freaking AWESOME! Love it all. Can you do that in my baby's room when you get here? He would LOVE it. He currently thinks he is Captain America. Love boys, especially yours! Including #3. Can't wait to see the little guy!

ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! I am afraid to show this to my hubby because I know he will want to do it too! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHow did you paint the cityscape?? I love it
ReplyDeleteI second that question, did you just tape it off or use stencils or what? The cityscape is my favorite part with their initials!
ReplyDeletePlease do tell how you did the cityscape! I've been looking for ways to do this in my son's room.
ReplyDeleteI drew the skyline on the wall with a pencil and used tape to get the straight lines. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteLove the cityscape! how many coats of black did it take to get it to look good and what kind of paint did you use. Also, I LOVE the poster. Did you make it? Super great quote. I have two little boys and my first son has a super hero room. I've got a few more things to get done in the room and those bins are on the list. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! You are living my life....just before me! We are having baby number 3 (another boy) in June and my boys will be sharing a room.
