Lucky Banner {Free Printable}

As promised, here is another St. Patrick's Day printable. I don't have much decor for this holiday so I have to make up for it in printables. Here is a fun LUCKY banner that is as simple as print, cut, and hang!
I made the felt shamrock's from Paper & Ink's tutorial found here and turned it into garland (since I have no girls to make a cute shamrock barrette for).

Simply click the download button above to download all of the papers. I would recommend sending the file to OfficeMax, Kinko's, Staples, etc. to have printed on card stock (to save on ink).
Cut out each banner, punch a hole in the top corners, thread string through, hang and enjoy!

St. Patrick's Day Lucky Shamrock {Free Printable}

Oh, I LOOOOVE St. Patrick's Day!!! Do I begin every holiday with that statement?? Ok, so I love every holiday and love making printables for them:)
Hint, hint. . . Come back in a few days for another one!
 Not sure what it is about St. Patrick's Day that I love, maybe it is that I get to pretend I have the "luck of the Irish" because I have red hair and green eyes even though I am not Irish. Maybe it is all the green everywhere or that mischievous little leprechaun that comes around. Maybe it is because it reminds me of my sister who almost shares a birthday with the holiday. Maybe it is because of all the fun things I see on pinterest that I get to do with my kids. Maybe it is because it reminds me of working at an Irish Pub in Cleveland where I met a life long friend (also a red head and also the person I write this blog with:)) . . . whatever the reason, I always feel a little lucky when it comes around. And who couldn't use a little luck?
Simply click on the download button to get your free 8x10 "Lucky" printable.

May the luck of the Irish be with you!!

Chevron Coffee Table Makeover

I'm an almost-constant Craigslist scavenger. This coffee table came from the "free" section, and I threw my whole family in the car and picked it up in the middle of a snowstorm.
Here it is "before"... i'll admit it, it's U-G -L-Y!
I had a whole gallon of aqua "oops" paint in the basement just dying to be used!
So I painted two coats and then measured and taped off the top for the chevron.

The chevron color is a combination of the aqua and a little white so that the blue was the same. You can use different colors, or even just plain white, too.
And now on to the big endtables that came with it!

Yellow Striped Nursery

The nursery is FINALLY finished!!! I can't tell you how many times I changed my mind about the colors. . . yellow, cobalt blue, kelly green, gray. . . so many choices!
I finally decided to not stick with gray because my whole house is gray and I needed some color. . . so I might of gone overboard with colors:)
 Here is the Monster themed nursery BEFORE (and I mean waaaaay before, don't have any current before:)) . . .
. . . and here is the AFTER
I got the changing table at a garage sale for $5 and spray painted it yellow. This is my first changing table and my third child. . . I am loving it.
The fabulous anatomy ABC poster is from Oohmoon (amazing digital designer!)
I love this poster because we named our little guy after his dad, who is in medical school and is also the third son.
Recovered the lamp and with the help of my Mom made some fun curtains.
For a tutorial on how I made the yarn mobile, go HERE
 I love how happy and colorful the room is and I love the little angel that occupies it!

Yummy {Pinterest}

My wonderful Mom has been here helping me take care of my new baby and my two other boys.  She has been making some DELICIOUS recipes we found through Pinterest (thank you Pinterest app:)).
Here are our favorite so far, they definitely pass our taste test:
Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes from Picky Cook
(we might of had these for breakfast, lunch and dinner one day)
French Dip Sandwiches from Our Best Bites
We ate the whole 9x13 pan in one day
Honey Sesame Chicken from My Kitchen Snippets
Strawberry Lemonade Bars from K & K Test Kitchen
Brown Sugar Blondies from Baked Perfection
(we added some oatmeal. . and they were yummy!)

It looks like my postpartum diet has consisted mostly of sugary, chocolatey, buttery goodness!

February Visiting Teaching Message - {Free Printable}

The importance of this month's visiting teaching message is very real to me. I gave birth to my third son this week and while caring for that little angel, I know of the importance of a woman's work here on Earth. Even if we do not have children of our own, we still belong to a family, an eternal family, that we can nurture and bring unto Christ.
I hope you enjoy this month's visiting teaching printable. You can click on the 4x5 images below, save to your computer and print or just click the download button below to download four to a page.

As always, there are bundles of more visiting teaching tools over at VisitingTeacing.net
